Orienteering race 1:13:23 [5] 7.79 km (9:25 / km) +300m 7:54 / km
shoes: Inov8 Arctic Talon 275

Northern Champs, Wass
steady run but tough, gritted teeth at the end, bit of a hunt for the boulder in the stony ground #8 (didn't see it first time passing below), possibly unwise to charge through the green at #9, and dithered over route selection to #10 and picked wrongly (best route right then left past the tower? I ran straighter but had 4-5 more contours)

8th (6th M50), almost 11mins behind Charlie

Note

ACCOMMODATION, BRITISH CHAMPS WEEKEND
if you know or hear of anyone who may have a spare bed or sofa on the Saturday night (May 19th), please give them my name. I have a bed in the Braemar hostel for Friday, but not the Saturday. I'll have my car so pretty flexible on locations.

6 PM

running (terrain) 38:04 [3] 4.42 km (8:37 / km) +140m 7:26 / km
shoes: Inov8 Oroc 340

Fallinge Edge
heather deeper than I'd hoped on the top, followed some of the old mining tracks up the slope then dropped down, hard work, hot (23.9°)

Wednesday Apr 18 #

6 PM

running 23:51 [3] 4.35 km (5:29 / km) +60m 5:08 / km
shoes: Inov8 Trailclaw 250

noodling around Stanton before some intervals, 22°

running intervals 16:20 [5] 2.7 km (6:03 / km) +120m 4:57 / km
shoes: Inov8 Trailclaw 250

hill intervals:
4 x 1min (off 2mins, jog/rest), covering about 260m and 15m+ climb
3 x 40secs (off 2mins), covering 120m and 20m

on the floor at the end so I guess that's effort

running warm up/down 15:39 [2] 2.44 km (6:25 / km) +40m 5:56 / km
shoes: Inov8 Trailclaw 250

easy run between sets of intervals and back to the car
