November Classic, Hampton Ridge
really glad I came despite the long drive and the drizzle, a pleasure to be able to run straight most of the time, good performance physically, had trouble with one of the easiest controls, complacency, I assumed I would hit the line feature and run up it, let myself be pulled off line to another control and then ran across the marsh and up the stream instead

9th, 8mins behind Stanley Heap (M18), 3.5mins behind Pete Ward, but 1st M50

tempo to the summit of High Tor, then easy to the far side before a second ascent, brisk back through the park

finally got to the top of the leaderboard for the (Garmin) segment to the summit of High Tor: 4.49

intended doing something like last week's 9km tempo but had one of those energy deficits, managed two loops before heading back, left the Garmin at home so used Runkeeper instead (tends to underestimate the distance)
