Out earlier so I could use the track before the highschool opened. Pitch dark when I left the house, and dawn by the time I got going. I don't do much of a warm up for these workouts: lazy bike ride to the track and then jog 400 m. The 1st 400 is always slow, and I wonder if I'll even be able to finish the workout. After that the pace picks up and goes pretty good. I'm not sure if this method is recommended but it seems to work ok for me.
