Beautiful day in Short Hills. The trails are really lumpy after last night's deep freeze. I made it out to Swayze Falls in the SW part of the park. I can't remember the last time I've run in this part of the park.

I felt like I needed a break yesterday. Even today my ankles and feet are sore from Sunday's run. The lumpy ground and those shoes seem to have really taken it out of me.

My right heel (achilles tendon?) is sore today. I had a similar soreness a month ago after a long run in my o-shoes. It feels like my o-shoes have shrunk. I've been wearing heavier socks, which I think is part of the problem, but they still feel smaller.

Fun race in Palgrave. I felt rusty on the navigation. I hesitated a lot in the beginning and made some small mistakes. Physically I feel better than I have in a long time.

Morning ski along the credit. The trail is still very lumpy and not great for skiing in places, but the scenery was beautiful and this may be my last ski here. The forecast is calling for warm weather soon, and that probably means the end of my ski season.
