Laura and John came home from the hospital today. Thank god for nurses! I've never spent so much time in a hospital, and I learned a lot by watching those ladies work.

Laura's room at the hospital probably had the best view in the whole of Cambridge. She was on the 4th floor and looked out on the Grand River with a perfect view of Galt. I tried to convince Laura that we should paddle John home on the river. Our apartment is a short walk from the water, but the idea didn't fly. First, Laura could barely walk at the time, and second we don't own a canoe. Oh well, when I retell the story to John we will have paddled home lead by an armada of beavers swimming in V echelon formation.

I squeezed this run in after having snuck away from the hospital to run some errands. I can't remember feeling this stiff and sore during a run. I felt much better the day after the GRR. It felt great to get some fresh air, but I also felt a little guilty while Laura was stuck inside.

Corridor-o at rattlesnake. Goofed up in the easiest part of the corridor. I stopped using the compass in the open field near the parking area. My legs felt ok today once I got moving, but I think they're going to be sore tomorrow.

I'm glad I made it out this morning. I was up at 6 to prepare for an early afternoon easter dinner. I somehow made it home before anyone had arrived.

A great GRR, and a fun team to run with. Chris seemed to be nervous to be racing with me once he saw the size of my backpack. Hey, that was my smallest pack. :) He was certainly the strongest on the day from our trio. I think we did pretty good. We were suffering on the pure running stages, but we held together well in the woods. We had a strong finish through the final section. Chris made a great decision to not bother adding any detail to the map, and he got us through the final section flawlessly. The contours were great.

I really enjoyed the control picking exercise. It is great to have the opportunity to get out in an area new to me. I had trouble with a couple of controls, but nothing too bad.

Terrible weather today, but we had a great turnout for an intro to o'ing day at Churchill park. I was chilled all day, but at least I had some good company to suffer beside.
