Moonlit swim at Pinehurst. Beautiful night, but the water is getting cold. I wanted to swim longer, but I was starting to get chilled. I warmed up on the ride home.

I have missed orienteering! This was a lot of fun. Laura ran the race, and I went out after. I had a decent run considering that this was only my 6th hour of orienteering this year.

Who needs to carry water or food on runs at this time of the year? I had 4 wild apples on the run. I did five loops of the Springbank farm because there is an especially good apple tree there, likely long abandoned by a farmer.

I had hoped that I'd be able to swim more now that the cast is off, but this is pretty tough on my wrist and my swimming fitness has evaporated. I had visions of getting back to 3-4 hours/week, but this was all I could manage. Oh well, the wrist is improving, so that is good.

I've been back to running now for almost a month. The first couple of weeks felt great, but I am now starting to realize that it is going to take a while to gain back the fitness I had. Hopefully I can be in decent shape for the O-CUP season. We are trying something new with the Stars' O-CUP (http://stars.whyjustrun.ca/events/view/2177). Hopefully people enjoy it.

Jogged into the hospital to have my cast removed. The bone has healed nicely! Very limited range of motion, but I'm told that should return in a few weeks. The best therapy is doing the dishes. :)
