Swimming 1:20:00 [3] 3.4 km (23:32 / km)

My wrist is still sore from last week's bike accident, but I still had a pretty good swim.

Note

I tried fixing my road/commuting bike last night. It doesn't look good. I replaced the front brakes. The bolt holding them to the frame and one of the calipers were bent from the accident. I replaced them with brakes I took off of an abandoned bike, but they aren't sitting right. I'm afraid I've bent my front fork as well. I've started commuting with my old mountain bike.

Stretching 45:00 [1]

Running 47:00 [2] 9.2 km (5:07 / km)
shoes: Grid Shadow 8

Easy run. Ran to/from High Park, and ran some of the trails.

Orienteering race 1:18:34 [3] *** 8.0 km (9:49 / km)
25c shoes: Grid Shadow 8 TR

Cambridge Farsta.
It was a great race for me. The weather was fantastic. Lots of mosquitoes, though. I swallowed a couple. I had one major navigation mistake and lots of little mistakes, but not too bad. I rolled my right ankle twice. It is sore, but I don't think its serious.

Note

I had a spill on my bike while commuting yesterday. I sprained my left wrist. Thankfully it isn't fractured. I won't be swimming or cycling until it has healed.

Swimming 1:20:00 [3] 3.3 km (24:15 / km)

Running warm up/down 40:00 [2]

Ran to High Park and ran some of the trails for a warm-up.

Running intervals 39:00 [4]

Ran hard loops in the south-east corner with 15s rest between loops and 2 minutes after each set of 3 loops.

Running warm up/down 25:00 [1]

Ran home. I felt like I over did it today. Too much running too soon.

Swimming 45:00 [3] 2.5 km (18:00 / km)

Not a great workout. I wasn't concentrating very well, and my stroke was all over the place. I cut the workout short, since it seemed like a waste of time.

Cycling warm up/down 30:00 [2]

Running 55:00 [2] 8.0 km (6:53 / km)

Run with Dan on the Cedarvale trail.

Orienteering 40:00 [3] ***

TOC Park Nights: Sunnybrook Park
It was a pretty easy course. I didn't have any major problems. I overshot the first control, but nothing major. I had no calf pains at all. I'll have to start running more now.

Cycling 30:00 [1]

Easy bike ride from Sunnybrook Park to the beaches. I followed the don valley trail for a bit.
I checked out a used 2003 GIANT OCR2. I might buy it. It would be nice to upgrade.

Cycling 35:00 [3]

Beaches to home.

Hiking 1:20:00 [1]

Hiking in Shorthills Provincial Park.
I saw a heron and a handful of deer. Unfortunately, I also saw some paint-ballers on the fringes of the park. These guys weren't afraid of being caught at all. They were even setting off small fire crackers.

Cycling 6:00:00 [2] 130.0 km (2:46 / km)

Toronto to St.Catharines.
I had a great tailwind from Toronto all the way into Burlington. I took a small detour north to have my lunch at Mount Nemo Conservation Area. I didn't do any hiking, but I ate my lunch at the lookout. From the lookout you can see Rattlesnake point, Milton, Toronto, and a lot of farmland. There were four turkey vultures drifting around the cliffs at the lookout.
I fought a bit of a headwind from Hamilton into St.Catharines.
