Orienteering 20:00 [5]
shoes: Leona Divide
Sprint race in Durham. Two poor routes, and about 2-3 stops to really read the map, but no mistakes. ITB hurt after the 7th control, and I rolled my ankle (once again) when I slipped on some rocks at CP 12. I'm pretty happy with my race. If I were in better shape I could have ran faster, but I probably couldn't have navigated too much faster.
I taped my ankle in the morning before hanging controls and I didn't take the tape off until after the sprint in the afternoon, which was when I discovered a nasty rash under the tape. By the next day, it looked like I had been badly burned with dime sized blisters and some open sores. Nasty! Needless to say, I'll be taking a break from orienteering and running.
