Left calf bad, still hurts to walk. Limp painfully around assembly field at British Middle Champs. Having made decision to travel up for the weekend, couldn't do the Trailtrax cycling (which was possible alternative for today). So no orienteering and no bike-O either.

British Sprint Champs: warm-up

British Sprint Champs - qualifier. Two small over-runs, one deviation (and hesitation) from avoiding new tapes that we supposed to be able to cross, and one poor route; but fairly good and enjoyable run until left calf suddenly started hurting about 300m from finish. Hobble in, qualify 2nd in heat but can't even walk properly afterwards so impossible to run the final. Very disappointed. TRIMP 49.

Fitness test for calf. Managed OK, with some briskish sections, so will go to British Sprint & Middle weekend after all and keep fingers crossed. TRIMP 48.

Right calf still bad. Ride quickly on dry tracks plus fair bit of road. Very similar stats to yesterday but completely different route. TRIMP 84.

Right calf much too bad to run so cycle instead. Lump slightly smaller than a Creme Egg (not that any Attackpoint readers will know what one of those is). Nice day but thoroughly fed up. TRIMP 67.
