Swimming 30:00 [2]

@ the Westin Edmonton's very warm pool. It's like swimming in blood.

Strength/Weight 30:00 [3]

@ Westin's gym. Upper, lower (easy) and core.

Running 45:00 [2] 6.0 km (7:30 / km)
shoes: Saucony Omni 5

Easy run around downtown Edmonton and through the North Sask river valley. They maintain their recreational trails in winter. Also, they love pyramids in this city and their buses think they are streetcars.

Stretching 5:00 [1]

A little bit of stretching. Should have done more

Quick swim afterwards.

Skating 10:00 [1]

On the pond with Murphy. Stopped when I noticed Murphy had cut her paw.

Running 1:01:00 [2] 8.6 km (7:06 / km)
shoes: Saucony Omni 5

More hazard lands at night with head lamp. Icy, and the waves were crashing high on the beach...I had to pace my running to catch the ebbing waves.

Stretching 15:00 [1]

10-5.

Monday Jan 22, 2007 #

Swimming 15:00 [2]

OK, just some crawl. Had my own personal life guard.

Sunday Jan 21, 2007 #

First swim of the year..just joined the gym across the street this week. I felt OK.

Hiking 4:45:00 [3] 22.0 km (12:57 / km)
shoes: Raichle Kootenay 5

5th Annual Seaton Trail end-to-end hike. A colder day, with snow at times.

Saturday Jan 13, 2007 #

Hiking 4:30:00 [2] 12.0 km (22:30 / km)
shoes: Raichle Kootenay 5

This was an "off-trail" ridge hike that I did north of Peterborough. I was a little nervous at first, going off-trail in winter, but the fantastic views really made it worthwhile.

The lakes were beautiful. The ice made a awe-inspiring whistling sound. Cool.
