Running 45:00 [2] 8.0 km (5:38 / km)
slept:10.0 shoes: Saucony Omni 4

A run with the dog through the park, down the pier, and through the valley. I stopped a few times for dog related reasons, and once to pull an abandonded bike out of the creek. It was a steel frame Free Spirit and didn't look too bad, but looked a little small.

The shoes seemed to work out pretty well. No ITB issues.

Golf (Driving Range) 1:00:00 [1]

It has been 4 years since I touched a golf club. I really surprised myself by how straight and far most of my drives were. The range was dead, so after we finished hitting our balls, we went and picked up another $8 of balls of the range. I would have got more, but I developed a blister on my hand.

Strength/Weight 55:00 [3]

I combined my shoulder, biceps, and back workouts into one night. My next weight session, I think I will do chest, tris, and abs. Doing weights on only two nights per week will hurt base muscle development, but will allow me to get more swimming in.

I also bought some new running shoes at the Brampton Running Room. The employee there actually recommended a stability shoe, rather than a motion control shoe, which is what other sales people in the past have recommended. We'll see.

Note
slept:7.0

Stopped at the runinng room to try to get some new shoes. They continue to recommend a motion control shoe, but had only a limited selection.

The rest if the evening was occupied by watching paddling instructrional videos.

Note
slept:8.0 (rest day)

Worked late. I had planned to do something, but my employer had other plans.

Cycling 2:00:00 [3] 40.0 km (3:00 / km)

A ride along the Caledon rail trail, which then turns into the New Tecumseth rail trail (same rail line, less maintenance), which ends in Tottenham. It rained pretty much the whole time I was out, sometimes torrentially. I did stop to see a wreck of a passenger rail car, which is slowly rotting/rusting into the ground. With all of the rain, the trails were quite soft, and difficult to pedal through, so I've given it a 3.

Afterwards, a family caught me changing my clothes next to my car. They mistook me for an orienteer.

Swimming 30:00 [3] 0.5 km (1:00:00 / km)

My pool is about 18m, so I did 28 lengths, in 4 sets of 7. I think that swimming 500m continuously would be a nice goal.

Strength/Weight 30:00 [3]

I tried to do a chest, biceps, and forearm workout after my swim workout. Wow, that is tough. I felt tired, but not tired. I guess this is because my muscles had depleted their glycogen stores, but the muscles had not been pushed to failure.

Tennis 1:00:00 [1]

Tennis with Dave. I aggravated a ongoing lower back injury that I've been dealing with.

But I won, two sets to 0.
