Running tempo 37:36 [4] 6.96 km (5:24 / km)
slept:8.0 shoes: Saucony Omni 4

A pretty relaxed day, doing some car things and financial errands. Ran my pier route @ tempo...got a stitch that I couldn't shake, an unusual experience for me. Pace still seems kind of slow...maybe I've measured the distance wrong. The moon is full tonite, and looks beautiful out along the pier.

Paddling 2:00:00 [1] 10.0 km (12:00 / km)
(rest day)

Vacation. Paddling around Flack.

Hiking 3:30:00 [4] 8.0 km (26:15 / km) +300m 22:06 / km
(rest day) shoes: Zamberlan Hiking Boots

A bushwack hike to the Wilkie Fire Tower. An indistinct trail became impossible to follow after the first 200m. Lots of easy-to-follow contours and hydrographic features make this a confident bushwack hike, despite the remote setting. I was surprised to see there were absolutely no trails going to this landmark...if this was southern ontario, there would have been two beer-swilling ATV drivers and a crying baby on the summit.

This was the first bushwack I've done in a year. Yeah, I'm still X, baby.

Swimming 3:00:00 [1]

I'll just add one log to note the >3 hours of unstructured open water swimming I've done over the past week. Also did some skin diving to investigate and photograph a couple of underwater logging-era artifacts.
