Hiking 1:00:00 [1] 5.0 km (12:00 / km)
shoes: Garmont trail hikers

Walk through the hazard lands with Murphy. Wandered through some fallow farm fields. Interupted a amourous couple. I asked if I could hit that, but they declined.

I did not have a lot of energy/motivation for this.

On the treadmill, in the morning before fieldwork. I found this to be challenging.

5 mintues of warm-up breast, followed by 15 of moderate intensity FC. Good times.

Body feels sore and tired.

Some road hockey after work.

Running 45:00 [2] 6.96 km (6:28 / km)
shoes: Saucony Omni 5

Wow, what a fantastic day. Brilliant sunshine and warm winds. I was wearing shorts and a touque-clad man on the beach told me I was going to catch pneumonia...hah!

Last week wasn't great for exercise or sleep...took a long nap yesterday.

Stretching 15:00 [1]

10-5. Legs feel great.

It looks like this "Intensity 0" thing lets you record time, but not have it show up in your total. Interesting.

Elliptical 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Saucony Omni 5

This elliptical kind of reminded me of snowshoeing. KIND OF. I took a slim volume of Al Purdy poems out of the library today. I should have brought it with me on the elliptical, if I could figure out a way to keep the book open.

Strength/Weight 20:00 [4]

3 sets of tris, bis, back and chest.

Today I finished reading "Lost Lands, Forgotten Stories: A Woman's Journey Into the Heart of Labrador" by Alexandra Pratt. I was disappointed by this book. Here's an amusing review:
""I have known a few wonderful-crazy, damn-fool writers who would risk their lives for a great adventure story, but I have met only two - both husky, well-experienced outdoorsmen - who would have paddled a canoe into the Labrador wilds. And one of them is dead. Alexandra Pratt is so reckless she scares me and so entrancing that I could not put her book down."

And this is the blurb she put on the book jacket!

Swimming 20:00 [3]

Front crawl.

Swimming warm up/down 10:00 [1]
