Went up to Five Ponds and did the Long Course....tough day ..with very icy trails and ice crusted snow ….a little better as the sun got stronger....more walking the running ...spikes did not help a lot....but it was a super nice day in the woods....lost a lot of time when I had to stop and tell people what I was doing and that they should tire ...and telling them about the W.C.O.C. ...hope we may get a few new folks to try our sport......one bad goof ...I was tired and got on the wrong trail on the way to No. 11 (a very easy short leg) but when tired I can talk myself into thinking I am at the right spot …..Grrrr….!! I plan to go back out there when its warm and with no ice and snow and see what kind of time I can do this in.....!!
