Biking 49:15 intensity: (1:34 @0) + (28:04 @1) + (14:32 @2) + (3:55 @3) + (1:10 @4) 9.91 mi (12.1 mph) +22m
ahr:127 max:170 slept:7.0 weight:206.6lbs shoes: Ye Olde Schwinne

I decided it would be fun to get my old Schwinn trash heap rescue bike operational. I picked up an old Schwinn 27" wheel off craiglist. Then I tried to assemble it Friday, but I couldn't find three of the fasteners removed when I took it apart after the rear wheel suffered a multi-spoke failure sprinting to beat a red light.

Thankfully, local bike shop had an old donor Schwinn, so they gave me one of the three fasteners, and I was able to improvise for the rack mounts - not sure the rack mounts are rated for heavy loads, but I can go easy on it for now.

I took it for an easy roll around Whitmore Lake, figuring if anything broke, I wouldn't be more than a 3.5 mile walk from the house. Then I stopped by the bike shop to say thanks.

Should be just the ticket for running from my house to Bandemer park and back on Whitmore Lake road in the wee hours.

y=-0.205x+8830.1, R2 is low at .59. Ignoring the low R2, deficit is averaging 700 kcal/day - not too shabby considering five days had an out of town guest and constant dining out. Putting in "June 1" predicts 190 lbs. That doesn't account for the reduction of base rate as weight drops, which always slows things down.

Had to run a two hour errand last night, during which I unexpectedly bought some used spare xc skis (pink and 10 cm longer!). I forsook a lazy bike spin for sleep, for better or worse.

Preliminary 48 cps sketched out. Now to start ensuring "all awesome, all the time" woods.

Next level of soda detox starts today, from "holy crap, that much?" down to "you know, that's still kid of a lot." If I get to (1)ish by Thursday or Friday, rogaine should go well headache wise, since I tend not to carry any with.

What was to be the last free SMOC 1:1 o lesson, largely because scheduling is too annoying, was definitely the end of it. Stood up! Texted at 20 after, left at 30. When MetroNav offers individual lessons, there'll be cash up front. It might end up going to charity, but a perceived value will be created (and maybe upfront to at least cover gas). Friends and family discounts remain for people who will actually go back into the woods.

On the upside, I found out Huron Meadows does rent skate skis, and the 1 km loop is still good to go from the skiers than stopped by the clubhouse.

And I did suddenly have time to gps one of the remaining Pinckney trails.

Grabbed Lossee Lake trails east of Dexter Townhall. Other than BB and the bonus trail from the Poto / W-P split, not sure there are too many more needed? At least that I currently know about.

On a whim I stopped in at the bike store to say hi, and lo, who should appear but Heidi and Middy! Great to see them during one of their gravel grinder prep rides.
