Orienteering 3:24:54 [2] *** 9.95 mi (20:36 / mi) +92m 20:01 / mi
spiked:29/30c shoes: Brooks Ghost Red

It seems I skipped one...no big deal, just have to mention it to the vetter. Easy enough spot, must have lost track in the hustle to get it wrapped up.

Nice morning to be out. Had to tweak some for fun-ness improvements. The green is still green in places. Feet a bit cold after all the snow melting on them. My other problem was that the swamps at Maybury are often not super strong, and in these conditions, their lack of definition made me use other spots that were more concrete.

Two trail corrections for fairness, I think. I walked them, just have to sketch them on.

Nice meeting with the park supervisor. I can have a fire in the shelter, and they'll leave the lights on for us. Also, if we do a spring event before 4/1, we don't have to worry about the stables since they won't be open, giving more flexibility in course design.

PYT who started the same time as me is now fully integrated into the group. Lacking any charisma or social grace, I had my one option to endear myself: sit on the leaders. This worked well until near my house, where I missed the surge and got gapped as they drifted into the 8:00/range. Finally on the home stretch they relaxed so I could close. The co founder was not far behind and introduced herself - nice people.
