Easy run round the lake, foot was stiff at first but at the end it was much less noticeable.

Event: Calophylla
 

Orienteering 53:28 [4] 8.2 km (6:31 / km)

E1 Calophylla. Started off shaky losing time on 1 and 2, not quite focused enough. Once I was in the rock I was a bit better but still lost some time on 6, 8 and 12. Started to get more control flow through the second half of the coursem which was nice. Was also nice after only two hard sessions in the week, I felt a lot stronger through the second half of the course, a good week before the state champs should have my legs where they need to be.

Warm up, warm down and some drills and strides

Running race 9:37 [5] 3.0 km (3:12 / km)

3k time trial. Made the decision after my physics midsem to try this, but didn't go quite as planned, the weather was pretty crap, and it was hard to push by myself in the dark. Went out way too fast, aiming for 75 laps and doing the first in 70, so tired pretty quickly, but pushed through on the last couple. Hopefully some better conditions next time will bring a better result.

Running warm up/down 30:31 [3] 6.31 km (4:50 / km)

Run round reabold to warm up, and a few laps of the stadium to warm down.

Running tempo 8:00 [4] 2.4 km (3:20 / km)

Progressive 6 laps, started off at around 3:30 then moved down to 3:10, felt tired to start off, but didn't really get much worse as the session went on

Running intervals 15:00 [5] 3.7 km (4:03 / km)

8x400 on a 2 min cycle. Started off feeling as tired as in the progressive, but felt better and better as the reps went on. Started to rain quite heavily and the wind picked up, which was nice to cool the body down. Hitting the laps in 69-71, and the last in 65. Good session, and reassuring to see I can move quickly even when I don't feel average at the start of the training.
