Mt Bike 1:17:12 [3]

Old School day.....my good bike was in the shop so I pulled out my old trek,.....wore some running shorts and a cotton shirt and took off for the North loop wondering if my new bike was faster than the oldie....

comparison: the old bike feels like I am more forward and does have more responsive steering (steeper head tube angle) and it actually does feel better when climbing.....but it also felt bumps more readily and was more clunky over roots and rocks...after riding the bike I felt more "worked"...while my new bike feels more laid back and rails the corners....smooth......the old bike, not so much....my arms were more tired due to more pressure on the more pitched forward position and I was tired when I was all done....but know for the loop times to reallly determine what bike is faster, better....

this could be compared to my last training on my new bike.....where I went 18:31 and 18:29.....

sooooo......my new bike is 1:30 fastr on the N. loop pretty significant....also, the entire workout took 3 minutes longer than on my new bike....

so....is there a difference between a appx. $1,000 bike and a $2,500 bike....yes, there is.....
