took my newly acquired off track waxless skis out in the blowing snow conditions.....these things float great in the untracked snow but are deathly slow....but its all good....they will be good to have to go off track adventure skiing.......went around the trails east of cedar....

first ski in a week......conditions at Wirth on the back 9 were good for skating but I was striding on waxless shorties and the track was icy to a bit icy...I ended up skating a least half the time and the track was fast enough that I could do a decent skate on these skis.......just wanted to get around andput in some time and burn some calories anyway so this combi ski worked out fine......

...ran in shorts.....puddle hopping.....good time to get a bit of running on since we are running a half marathon in a month.....ran LOI plus some of Calhoun...

could not get heart rate up due to dead legs.......3 races in 3 weekends...

my unsolicited opinion on diets and losing weight....

people say diets dont work...I believe ALL diets work....because they all have you eating less calories....but you have limit to calories...or eat the same and burn more than you have....

if I wrote a diet book it would be one sentence...

"burn more calories than you consume and you will lose weight..."

it works every time....

sure, while you are eating less, eat a blanced diet...and call it good....

and here is the other dirty secret of dieting that everyone seems to avoid...

you might be a bit HUNGRY when you are on a diet.....especially, at the beginning when you eat less than you are used to....

how come no one mentions this?....
