Note

the annual birkie panic waxing phase has begun!....I am going with skins skis but still need to glide wax....

I bought them for Europe but looks like skin skis will be a good option for the classic tropical kortie/birkie coming up.....its going to be an interesting track....mushy I assume for the birkie as the day warms up to 40F??

The skis performed well in the Koasalauf and they seem to go as good as my race skis....

Warm up

xc classic skiing 2:46:52 [3]

Koasalauf 30.2k classic Euroloppet race in Sankt Johann Austria.....one of the best Nordic ski experiences of my life. I was giddy at the finish. Posted a solid time and racing through the alps was unforgettable.
Used skin skis and with temps at 33 at the start. I thought I had good skis. Double poled 75% of the race uusing new DP technique.
Kari kicked it pretty good in the 8k. She was ahead of me through 5 k (they did same course till cut off) Funny the 8k was supposed to be a gentle course but they changed it unannounced and Kari's 8k course was the brutal uphill and downhill that started my 30k course and the 46k course.
