objective: build endurance for skiing but sandwich in a firm tempo effort. I wanted to get in some intensity of the muscular endurance kind....this workout was spot on

note: only downside was my bad knee was got better as I rode but tight pain was present the entire time

bike to Wirth for two firm N loops....

18:09 157 HRA

good effort....good times....the 2nd loop did not feel that much faster first loop was smooth in technique

note...the side rock at the Y log entrance was moved therefore no dismount

chked out how Brownie was coming along on the easy ride back......

thinking of doing a 10 mile run race in early November to give me a goal to prep for with my running....that will likely carry over some fitness to ski season.....

Run 1:21:33 [3]

44F...a bit chilled on the run which makes for a low HR and faster pace for me..

objective....long run for endurance build for run and skiing...ended up running 6.6 miles in 1:19:45....

ran 4 minutes/walk 1 minute with two 9 minute running segments at 20:00 and 60:00 minutes.

averagd 12:07 pace includinng walks breaks...definite progress at this low AHR

recovery....didn't think I needed it but I did....legs were dead.


60 minute family hike on sunday but only averaged 94 on the HR so it does not count....looking for some color in the trees....not yet
