first real single track of the year....did the bog loop and then went to brownie to run some loops before biking back home.....this is the mt bike portion...

bog loop was 13 min of HR spikes....

run 2 1K loops at Brownie....

8:58 brisk hike a loop 124 HRA
6:04 158 HRA

even though these were very hard and slow based on my history, these loops were my best times post surgery for these loops on the run.....ran in road Hokas with brace on the left knee and the pain was tolerable....

completed one of my adventure goals for the year today with a a hike to the top of Dog Mountain east of Portland......7.6 mile hike with over 2800 ft of gain.....good effort.

typical effort of 140 HRA or so on the way up.....105-107 AHR on the way down.....I used to run down the mountain on the descent but those days are over...

no knee brace (didnt pack it) and my knees hurt pretty good on the way down.....glad I had my poles to take some of the pressure off my knees....concerned that my knees hurt this much hiking.....I am considering the timing and type of a knee replacement.....
