Orienteering 1:18:31 [4] 8.0 km (9:49 / km)
After a late-night of brewing massive amounts of soup with Aggost, we squeaked in some sleep. Up early, we set the site, and kept busy with registrations (mostly Aggost), dog patting and chatting (mostly me).
When everyone set off for the start instructions, i was still changing and running for the loo (the natural kind). Picked up a map and tried to work out last questions from beginners. As I was in mid-sentence, the start was called. Poof.
I decided to just take it cool (not like last time), i finished my explanation and while everyone scattered, I stood at the start to finally look at the map for me.
I even let a few extra seconds go, to really be alone and mentally start calling the shots (not simply following).
I think I generally did well, though I did collect a few muffles here and there. I wish I had a map to review the race, but i lost it.
hahahah
for a woman who has not run at all in the last week and is still unable to push off from her gimpy foot. I did pretty good, especially considering that it felt much more like a running race than one of navigation. I usually break down in long highway trails.
Loved to see JH and his bunch of little ones jumping around; it made the last stretch back much much easier. Got caught checking kiddy controls!... hum.
The forest was awsome and it was so much fun to hang out with everyone afterwards. There was such a good energy.
A la prochaine!!!
XC Skiing ! 1:00:00 [3]
after orienteering, and picking up things, Aggost and I set out for a leisurely xc-ski adventure. Aggost had a pretty close encounter with a horse and got to pet him, I think she smelled of sweet and delicious squash soup!!
I was jealous. I must have smelled of salty sweat nothing to attract beautiful horses. hihihih
Orienteering 30:00 [2] 4.0 km (7:30 / km)
flag pick up... forgot 2 and had to go back,... glad that did not happen on the course.
