National 6 stage, beautiful day in Sutton Park as always. Did first leg, crazy stressed start lots and pushing and swearing quite funny. Felt like I was hanging on all the way, but felt reasonably strong at the end. Quickest i've run around that course , but still 34th on my leg, pretty happy with time. Hallamshire had a team, just! Much respect to Tim and Dean who both ran as a favour to make sure we could compete.

Did half the Hallamshire sesion, 3x800m in Hillsborough Park, felt alright was tempted to carry on, but though calves probably will not thank me and little to gain so saved myself for Saturday.

enjoyed sunshine! Up through the parks, across the plantation, down through Limb Valley, through top of eccy woods then home. Felt ok but right calf, would like to do something quicker before relays at weekend. Will see how calf is tomorrow.

Lulled into false sense of ok legs yesterday. Calves battered today, steady run through eccy woods , up dore road, out onto Sheephill road , up onto moor then down from Ringinlow then home . Miraculously stayed dry .
