Open cross country at Graves park . Finished second tried to go off hard failed to drop lad from Durham. He then dropped me , kicking my ass on the uphills . Felt ok , but a bit flat . Good course , shame such a poor turn out.

Running 1:36:54 [3] 14.3 mi (6:47 / mi)

Missed many long runs last few months so snuck one in home from work as finished early. Ran out around dam flask, back to Hillsborough, up to Crookes down to Hunters Bar and home. Legs a bit sore. Had to try and maintain reasonable pace in the gale ,to get back in time for Tesco delivery. Jodie and the boys are away so I new if I missed it I had no food. A good motivation running up eccy road into the wind.
Have successfully unblocked bathroomed sink and put kitchen door back on tonight. I know this has no interest or relevance , but still glowing with man pride .

Running 1:10:00 intensity: (30:00 @1) + (40:00 @5) 11.0 mi (6:22 / mi)

Chevin Chase around "The Chevin," from Guiesley. Great seven mile race mostly off road, would thoroughly recommend it for any who finds themselves in the area over Christmas, although was pretty bloody hard. Set off quite hard , but still miles behind Jonny Brownlee, who cruised offf into the distance, overtook a youngester who had gone off with Jonny after about a mile and ran the rest of the way on my billy. Felt really good until about 4miles then died on my arse on the hill up to The Chevin, wind and mud were tough, but good cross country training.
Still not exactly sure what "the Chevin" is but have the blisters to prove I have run it. Ran in new fell shoes and achilles felt ok so despite blisters more comfy than my Walshes.
