| Back from 25-manna. Lots of people here are pretty dissappointed and frustrated. Yet an other epunching disaster. People claim they got signal but no punch found. Most cases were from sperctator or last control and they were seen punching there. Nothing new.
The other hot issue here is Emma Engstrand(?if I got the name right - didn't see it myself) at last control. Such behaviour shouldn't be accepted, I hope she will get a ban for some time or something. But I guess nothing will happen, of course. I think some youtube stuff will follow, some guys shoot it all with video camera.

| 25-manna, 24:th leg.
http://www.routegadget.net/gpsoblog/cgi-bin/reitti...= Nothing special. I was slow and could see controls and didn't navigate ao well in places. A bit boring route, same legs with previous legs so there was huge elephant trails fron control to control. But it was fun anway.

| Take a look at last photo:
http://www.25manna.nu/general/standard/publisher/a... I hope they don't make any human errors. If they program one unit wrong, with our luck most of our team will be punching with the very same unit. I can only imagine how much unnecessary work they have to do there. It's kind of sad.

| A discussion reminded me of the epunch issues. 2007 has been just an other bad year. Big surprise. Here is some example cases with Emit. Cristina and some other World Cup runners struggled to get result in Lapua World Cup, just because a punch unit didn't work as it should. In World Cup Hovden Norway Thierry won and Novikov was second, but Novikov's punch from last control was never found, so he was disqualified. As fas as I have heard he just punched too fast just like Cristina.
There was butterfly loops in Finnish Ultra long champs. Some runners didn't get electric punch from one of the visits at central control. They were disqualified - pin mark was useless because they may have got it at other visits at the same control. I guess batteries may have got exhausted for extensive use during some shout periods. Who can say something like case Cristina did not happen?

| 10k 4:45 pace + 20 min warmup/down. Easy. | ||

| Strength 4:00 [3] | ||
| Car didn't start this morning. Display told me brakes were malfunctioning and some liquid leves were down, electric gas pedal was malfunctioning. Steering was malfunctioning too. When I tried to start the engine I got funny stripes and cryptic marks on car's lcd screen. Saturday car was ok and now everything possible was broken. After accusing Spanish car intrusty for a while I noticed indoor light was on. I did't put it on this morning.
The stupidness of an average Finn against smartness of Spanish engineers: 6-0 Strength training: I carried battery inside to be recharged.
