Brown Course at Night O at Tamarack Nature Center. It was fun to be out at night and orienteering. I walked about 80% of the course and jogged the last couple controls.

Sunday Oct 7

Hike 45:00 [3]
Hiked with Rena out to #3 from the night O to see how we got confused. I walked right to the reentrant in the day light. After seeing how HUGE the adjacent depression was I can't figure out how we didn't see it or fall into it.

Orienteering 2:05:00 [3]
Brown course at the North End Trail Head. Planned to walk the course based on health and energy (and heat/humidity) issues. Walked right to the first 5 controls but spent a little over 30 minutes looking for #6. I decided to bag it and hike back on the snowshoe trails. It was a nice afternoon to be out in the woods.
Orienteering 1:05:00 [3]
Orienteering by consensus is not really an effect way to move quickly. Still not feeling well enogh to go on the nicght O alone. I teamed up with HB and was joined by KM as the start whistle blew. We walked around for about an hour and all decided we'd had enough and headed in. I was happy I wasn't alone-it was a tough course and I am not that confident on that map especially in the dark.
