Pewsey Vale course 4. Lots of little wobble/poor route choice and 3 big ones: 1 - Once near the top of the green hill , quite a feat in itself, I couldn't work out which direction I should bash about in the green in - trouble reading the contours in the circle, 2 - took 2 attempts so close the first time just didn't think to go further down to look , even heard it beep when someone else went through - why does my thinking get so stuck when plan A doesn't work? Undershot 5, way too conservative route to 6, then mucked up the easy 10 by not being able to hold a bearing , drifting left then finding myself looking at the fence at 90 degrees to the one I should've been looking at. I need to find a new compass with colour segments to follow like my old one I lost. Maybe also with extending laser lights that hold the direction of travel a long way ahead and that beeps when I drift!

One day I would like to try going round a shortish course like this twice. I feel ready to navigate well once I am finished. I am sure I could've done better a second time! I like Pewsey Vale a lot more than I used to since the Junior trainings there.
