Short jog via school to watch Leith play soccer (a draw, 5 all, L scoring 4 goals , not that I'm counting :) !) then up Suffolk track and back via boundary fence.

Never seemed to find time after that for planned yoga.

Low intensity for body high intensity for brain ( in my case) making sure I'm using deep muscles and breaking old habits.

Really enjoy this.

Belair run with the crew. Jenny and I branched off up to redwoods, over past Melville house and back along boundary track. Really lovely still evening. Lots of possums about.

Home to fmc - with an off track section in flinders forest to save time, quite fun- to Marion, then home. Headlight went flat half way up shepherds hill rd so I used the flashlight app on my phone, quite effective.

Up valley next to dam return via road. Bit tired so didn't attempt intervals. Earlier start for me, hopefully I will gradually get better at getting up earlier to fit longer runs.

Day long EPAS training. Sitting all day is quite tiring! Another half day course tomorrow morning- clinical audits. At least I can ride there tomorrow as is closer.

Feel like I'm working harder and getting slower at swimming. I wonder if I've lost a bit of arm strength through not getting to the gym much. Still very pleasant to have a lunch time swim, even if I then have wet hair for afternoon meetings. Shoulders feel pleasantly tired now.

A lovely day in kuitpo forest. This was fairly straight forward with track options often being the most sensible. Just my usual not very quick map reading. As this was 1:15000 I tried to run with my reading glasses on. This will take a bit if getting used to. A lot of the time I had them in my hand rather than on, but they were helpful at times. Just hard to run whilst wearing them. I had trouble with 12 me being too low. Feeling confused I relocated from western track which was slow as I plodded through the thickly growing young saplings. Found it second try much higher up. Contours were a bit strange in there, I've had trouble there before. Went via dam for second last control and found it very slow and thick going. Straight option sounded better. Found I was leap frogging through last 6-7 controls with a young women I hadn't seen before. Chatted afterwards and found out that she is Angela from Tallin and working here for 2 years. She might come to the Flinders.

Home via Stirling markets.

Turners, Olave, park boundary track to home. Logging usual time for this run but guessing as was stop start. Also walked more than half of Turners ave as I was tired and looking for possum food.

Felt really stiff and sore today, I'm putting It down to lack of yoga. Planned to do some but end of day ended up quite busy ( purchasing a new puppy, 3 amigos ganged up on me, Callum a bit huffy). Hope to do a bit of yoga before work tomorrow.

Squeezed in lunch time swim. Felt like I was working hard but not really getting anywhere quickly. Thinking about it I've hardly done any strength stuff at gym so I guess arms aren't going to be very strong on one swim a week. Still Marion pool was lovely. 50 m lane to myself.

Quick loop in park as short on time. Seems to be my theme this weekend, which like last weekend has been busier than usual, which also mean more trips in car instead of walking places, to save time. Now I am working more and further away it seems to be hard to get a nice amount of exercise. Hopefully will work out better next weekend.

At Marion pool. Slowed down a bit for last 500 m and included some breastroke.

Based at Marion today so cycled. 30 mins there, an hour back! Tried to push a bit but had a very heavy bag (work files, wet bathers and towel, work clothes) and it was an uphill slog, literally. Tired now, but nice to have a day off driving.

Managed a most of day meeting at UniSA today by parking south end of hutt st, picking up a free city hire bike and riding that through the city, enjoying the additional bike lanes that now exist. At lunch time rode back to move car. Next time will get a bike from Unley for a longer ride. Such a nice way to get around, and the big baskets fit my work satchel nicely.

Long run with Callum. Up QJD to tilti track intersection, went left to tank then right following fire track past upper waterfall. Then down past redwoods, up and over nearly to Melville house, right down to bitumen, up to park boundary and back home following boundary track west. Bumped into Tyson along here heading in opposite direction on his long run. Very humid. Started in fog, ended in sunshine.

Followed by an amazingly lovely afternoon. Went to a cousins do at my cousins in the eastern suburbs and there was lots of autumn colour about the streets.

Got dropped on the way to Leith's soccer match at Bradbury to run the last bit. From bottom of Morgan rd, Scott creek rd, woodcock rd, longwood rd, past Bradbury CFS, left down pottery rd, left again to bradwood oval. Started foggy ended sunny. Lovely morning. Nice to run somewhere different and wished I'd left early enough to run the whole way. Another day.

Watched match ( they won, 8:1, leith scored 2 goals) then had second breakfast at the Organic market.

Guessing time a bit as was a bit stop /start. Ran up saddle hill rd to top ( tried doing a good tempo up the hill- fun) then back down QJD. Alas part way down poor Biddy rolled her ankle badly and for a while looked like she had to stay put. I thought Liv and I might have to take turns piggybacking but B made a valiant effort and arose first to walk and then to jog back. Dark night. I saw at least 7 possums while out running, mostly ring tails.

rogaine 12:00:00 [3]

12 hour Erskine valley north of Peterborough with Jenny. Lovely area and great event. Need to make some more 'notes to self ' to improve planning. AND never again will I rogaine in bare legs! Still need to properly measure it. There were lots of sheep about and I was glad we had clear OOB to avoid the lambs being deserted by startled mothers. Though it crossed my mind if that did happen, I could volunteer to adopt any orphans. It's been a while since I raised a sheep and they're such great pets.

This includes 15 min run into Blackwood to pick up car from a service.

Fun night run with the crew. Up the steps over QJD past the two tanks ( this bit just with Jenny, Will and Olivia) and back down QJD . Tried to push myself a bit on the downhill bits. Rained lightly but didn't start until we were warmed up conveniently.
