Station Ave route with Callum and Roo. My legs were tired after the Rogaine and intervals last night, so Callum and I took it easy - this did not suit Roo of course. It was a beautiful day - I love the May sunshine especially now we've had some rain and more is coming.

Rest of Rogaine after a sleep. With Steve Grey. I slowed him down a bit in the steep stuff and we made lots of little errors and one bigger one, different styles and I was not on the ball. Good fun though and great to get out.

Ironbank to Marion and back via Belair NP. Legs were ok. It was vey cold at the end. Included waiting at lights. There was plenty of that this morning.

Sturt Gorge trail run. Started fast and had my wish of not getting caught on a downhill single track bottleneck but then had people passing steadily as soon as the trail went up or flat. Felt not quite as good as this event last year but I think that I did relatively better on last year's 20 km because there was more steep up and down and less contouring on reasonable tracks as today. My legs felt pretty tired for quite a bit and I kept going by thinking about having a hot bath with bath salts. I'm happy to say I fulfilled my wish!

Note

Put out and collected controls for the O Halloran hill event with helping at the event in between. Now (Sunday night) I recognise that particular leg tiredness I get when helping at events and standing a lot - I am calling this volunteer legs. The trail run probably added its own dash of tiredness too!

Short loop with the dogs. Freezing (not far off literally, around 3-4C ). Great to get out in the bush in the daylight. Really wishing I'd stocked up more kindling before the rain, although I am grateful for it.

Short western loop with Jenny. Car thermometer said 8 C and it had rained on the drive from work but conditions were less wild than I expected once we were going.

Redwoods run with Jenny and Callum on a dark and rainy night - in 2 days the weather has gone from fire risk to midwinter! The house and car have become very muddy very quickly. I am looking forward to checking my rain gauge.

Belair run with Roo with some re-routing to avoid the emu family. Park seems transformed by the rain.
