Deep creek waterfall loop. Walk with Anne. As we both had other things on in am we started at 3.40 pm. I took my hiking pack, partly loaded for extra training, and trailed some gear for the upcoming togaine. By 5 pm we reached Tapanappa lookout and stopped there for a cup of tea and snack. Then in failing light we headed down the steep descent to the coast. Close to the sea we got out torches. We had to go slowly as it was very steep and slippery. We crossed a small creek then had a steep up and very steep down to Deep creek creek mouth. It was completely dark by this point and we moved carefully on the slippery track, scrambling over rocks. 2 kms here took over an hour! Finally we were at the mouth of Deep creek, a lovely spot in the moonlight. We got rather wet crossing the creek then we had a long slow climb up the spur on an ever improving track. Not long after 7.30 pm we arrived back at Anne's car. Anne yelled for joy at seeing her car, she seemed truly surprised to make it back! It was quite a new experience for her. Was a lovely night for a walk, with moonlight on the sea. We arrived at yankallila pub only just in time to order tea before 9 on cut off. My minestrone soup went down well. Very tired by the time I was finally home.

Run with both dogs up the valley keeping to road and going left at Karka . Did 3 X 2 mins harder up the hill. Legs a bit flat from Thursday night run. Then back down park boundary, to track junction, took north past Melville house and back down valley .

Belair run with Jenny and Wally poo. Jenny ran to ours then we ran up the steps, over QJD and fire tracks to Sheoak rd, ran adjacent railway then Sheoak rd and Gloucester as far as Kalayra . J went on to her home and I ran home via Sheoak rd and Upper Sturt rd. Ground was pretty slippery in Belair and I found it hard to get a good rhythm. Feet felt very sore too for last half hour for some reason.

After work swim after a sedentary desk day on a very wild weather day in Adelaide. I was at work late so didn't start until after 7. Pool was much less crowded than my usual time around 6. I had a lane to myself. The woman in the next lane powered past me like I was treading water! I almost stopped to watch her technique . Worse but was going home with wet hair and only my thin work cardigan on. Best part was getting cosies on at home!

Run around the South parklands/ Victoria park with Callum before soccer while the boys warmed up. Had thought to do intervals but my legs said to my brain, ' no way, you're dreaming'. Legs quite tired from yesterday.

Was glad I choose watching soccer over O today as Leith scored 3 goals-including a header and 1 from a penalty and he was very pleased. Was also nice to see a group of Leith's year 7 friends ( about 6 or 7 of them) spontaneously turn up this afternoon on bikes and they all rode off to the Pine forest.
