orienteering (Night) 1:28:00 [3] 8.0 km (11:00 / km)

SA Night champs. Course 2, 5.0. So I took some scenic routes ( 2 particular scenic legs). I really enjoyed this but had a particularly dodgy leg from 9 to 10 where I assumed a track I saw was the one I wanted not paying attention to distance, then thought all I have to do is run east but didn't pay attention to direction as I ran along a pine tree row as I was watching my feet dodging felled logs. ( a difference with night o vs rogaining is traveling faster.) then I glanced at my compass to find I was running south. Oh dear. Took me a while to catch up in ny head to where I really was and I relocated conservatively. Shame to have a brain fade here as overall I'd had a nice time.
Strange afterwards to not need a jumper.

Running to meeting point and warm down after the harder bit.

Bridget's and Stefano's 7 km time trial loop. I stopped a little short of the finish. Included one very steep section ( Garmin said My pace was over 11 min/ km up that section!) Quite a bit of fun to try harder than usual. Not sure how much extra I should add to time for getting a tow from Callum although that was mainly at the start or when near others which wasn't often. Went up hill unassisted. Lovely evening!

Cycle to work on the 29 er. Rode home up the overpass as it was after 7 pm so not much traffic.

On way home from work. Rowing and cross trainer. Then some time on weight machines.

Bridgewater run - Mt George, Range rd, Green hill rd, Gully rd loop. Legs a bit stiff but a nice run.
