run 1:00:00 [3] 10.0 km (6:00 / km)

Run in evening to top of Saddle hill and back down QJD. Felt quite humid. Legs still sore from hiking.

Run around Victor foreshore and a bit along Inman river. In the evening Surprisingly stiff and sore from hiking.

walk (Heysen trail) 2:46:00 [2] 8.76 km (18:57 / km)

Heysen trail. From a few coves east of Parson's beach to Waitpinga- very hot and sunny and tired from yesterday. Sang duets to keep us moving. We thought they sounded great. We arrived about 12.30 pm and decided had enough and didn't want to walk the rest to Victor as planned ( another 14 km ish). So we waited for my obliging friend to pick us up and I fell asleep sitting at the table at the really quite nice Waitpinga campground. Also watched a woman hand feed salad to a resident sleepy lizard.

walk 5:44:00 [2] 20.5 km (16:47 / km)

Tapanappa to ? Shannons gully cove via Heysen trail. With Leith. Forgot until well into walk that trail through private property is shut over summer! Quite warm and my pack felt heavy despite being fairly state of the art. I guess a heavy load is a heavy load. Lovely ( unofficial) camp spot all to ourselves. This was the highlight. Full moon. Leith did well - it was a tough afternoon with one very very steep and slippery ascent.

run 31:00 [3] 5.02 km (6:11 / km)

With Bear. Short loop in Belair via Main entrance, Pines oval, adventure playground and dead koala gully. Pretty warm and I was slow and tired.

Monday Jan 9, 2017 #

run 50:30 [3] 8.3 km (6:05 / km)

Run with both dogs. Bear wasn't pulling so much, made it easier. Up valley to old NP station, Ballast pit track back down QJD. Nice to run while it was still overcast. Sad site was a medium sized eucalyptus branch on the ground ( not uncommon) but with a dead koala underneath it - koala had obviously come down with it.

Trying to decide how to make the most of my week off.

Sunday Jan 8, 2017 #

run 1:18:30 [3] 14.0 km (5:36 / km)

Bridgewater run. Heysen spur trail to Hahndorf then back along the Pioneer woman's trail. For the second half of he run I was at the back so didn't get any rest stops. This was quite good as it made me work harder. Callum was pretty tired as well. Nice to get out and run after a few sedentary days.
