Putting out ribbons for Kay's MTBO training. Started with jogging but was really tired and flat and hot so ended up walking. Took the boys and they were hot too and pleased when we finally got to a tap and better still the railway dam. Enjoyed despite being hot.

Short run up valley to volunteer Centre and back before work to get some fresh air.

Monday Mar 6, 2017 #

run (3 km time trial) 13:20 [3] 3.0 km (4:27 / km)

1 second slower than last time. Despite my legs being a bit better rested going into this I couldn't knock anytime off.

Just behind group for first lap but then the gap increasingly widened. 4:17 first km, then must've slowed. Still felt good to get out and have a go. Good to watch how fast the others went and see the other groups training.

Will give it another go in 4 weeks.

SA sprint champs at Trinity college.
Ok round. Stopped a building short on way to 2 not sure why. Looks like that cost 1 min. Can think of at least 3 other controls where I lost some time. I enjoyed this though. Caught up to Leith and then kept seeing him off and on for rest which was fun. I always feel like sprints should be run in clusters. Do 1 have a rest do another a bit later then a third one.

Short run up the valley with both dogs back via lack. Callum thought he was really keen but actually he decided he was a bit tired on a warm morning.

Short morning run up the valley back via dam with the dogs.

No o tonight so short loop with J and Des and Callum past lake along railway and back. Was tired before I started but felt better for running. Walked to and from golf course car park.
