orienteering 44:40 [3] 4.1 km (10:54 / km)

SA middle distance champs, Wonna Creek, course 5, 3.7 straight line.
Enjoyed. A couple of wobbles and didn't feel like I was moving well but mostly always knew where I was.

Followed by La Pecora Nera pizza. Yum.

run 21:35 [3] 4.1 km (5:16 / km)

Short run up valley to volunteer Centre to give dogs an outing.

Thursday Aug 31, 2017 #

run 43:35 [3] 7.22 km (6:02 / km)

Belair run, western loop with Jenny and Callum. Relatively warm evening.

run 54:00 [3] 8.9 km (6:04 / km)

Run before work up to the Redwoods up and over to Melville gully track. Powered by both dogs. Listened to a podcast while running about how Adolf Hitler used methamphetamines daily to strengthen his body and give him energy! Not surprisingly this affected his decision making.

orienteering (Sprint training) 40:00 [3] 6.0 km (6:40 / km)

Took Leith to Bridget's Junior training in East Adelaide. Conditions were very pleasant. Legs a bit tired from the morning run so tried to concentrate on flow and exit plan. Even with glasses I had some trouble reading some detail e.g. Very narrow lanes and colors e.g. blue vs green cross. Had to completely stop at these times.
Time and distance a guess as I lent L my watch.

swim 30:00 [3] 1.5 km (20:00 / km)

After work swim with A.

Monday Aug 28, 2017 #

run 25:08 [3] 5.01 km (5:01 / km)

5 km loop with Leith and Callum in the dark. Tried hard up the road to Pines oval. Only minor coughing episode after this which was encouraging.

orienteering (Mt Barker sprint) 21:25 [3] 2.53 km (8:28 / km)

First course of the sprint double. Cold, windy and light rain. Car thermometer = 8 C. This was quite a bit of fun. JC caught me a minute just before 5 then we were near each other from then on, with slight route variations. This kept me on my toes. Unfortunately couldn't stay for part 2.

run (Warm up / cool down) 10:00 [3]
