run 19:00 [3] 3.0 km (6:20 / km)

Short dog run .

orienteering 1:18:00 [3] 7.23 km (10:47 / km)

Course 2 Rock Oyster. Started by heading off south instead of east in full view of start before I orientated the map. Then I couldn’t believe the cliff I needed to head down but it was ok. Leith passed me just before one. Nav ok after that but I suddenly felt very sore on way to 4 - a shin splinty feel so slowed right down and even had to stop to stretch. Slow plod after that with a couple of wobbles but mostly ok Nav .

Pympton senior girls course on a cold , wet and windy day. Started at back and did some shadowing but had to take more than one attempt on 3 and 8 myself.

orienteering 1:12:00 [3] 5.5 km (13:05 / km)

Keynes gap course 5. About when I was thinking I was reading the map well thus far I overshot 6 and took way too long to work out my error. Didn’t identify the safe route. Good for next few to 12- which was incorrectly placed knew I was close but I didn’t find it until I was heading to the fence to relocate. It was much closer to the fence than I anticipated, and much lower down. Went the long way round to 14, same for 15. Hesitated on 16 being very close but a bit high.
So finished worse than I started, needed to be more vigilant with my attention.
Another time I would choose a longer course out there, it is pleasant terrain.
