rogaine 10:30:00 [3] 50.0 km (12:36 / km)

First part of SARA 15 in 24 at Naracoorte with Steve C. Lovely scrub in parts. Wombats!! Lots of flat vague farmland and some pine forests. Features such as ‘a leaning tree’ or ‘a tree’ were tough. Missed ‘a tree’ , a 40 pointer on a 1.1 km bearing in the dark. Fences particularly electric fences were a pain - I had a couple of bad zaps - I jumped so much once I accidentally punched Steve in the face causing him to jump and let go of the protective plastic pipe he was holding and also get a shock!
I really enjoy coming back in for a sleep on these 15 events.

orienteering 1:20:00 [3] 7.8 km (10:15 / km)

Course 2 Rock oyster. Shin sore to start so went very cautiously, gradually felt better. Had lots of trouble reading the map once it started raining - need to remember to wear my hat so my glasses get less wet! Hesitated a lot on way to 11 taking the long route as I was relying on using map memory - 8 minutes slower than Leith in same leg! Also a mistake on 13. Rest ok. I enjoy this map.
