rogaine (Vetting) 5:00:00 [3] 19.0 km (15:47 / km)

Rogaine vetting on the northern section of the ARC map with Steve . It was cold and windy and there was some rain. The mallee sections were lovely and interesting Nav and took some adjusting to the 1:50 000 scale compare to the O maps. I think I prefer vetting to actual Rogaining, less pressured!

orienteering 1:18:00 [3] 8.29 km (9:25 / km)

Leith and I ran round the Kuitpo Ultra Long event in the lovely winter sunshine . Callum and Roo came and Roo in particular was in heaven running around with us , doing large circles around us. I wish I’d put the garmin on her collar!
We ran together and Leith was in charge of bearings and I was in charge of calling out the next number , as I’d left my glasses behind I didn’t pick the optimal course, leaving a few out accidentally. Anyway we had a very nice time and visited 21 controls. I can’t work out how to upload unless I create a google account but I think we are a day late anyway. The car parks were very full but we ended up hardly seeing anyone on course.

run 2:02:00 [3] 20.0 km (6:06 / km)

Inspired by yesterdays ride I decided to run a similar but abbreviated loop this morning with Roo. Cut down Mundoo Lane and caught up with an ex-neighbour from 27 year ago and had in interesting conversation about his re-vegetation business. Also stopped in Mark Oliphant Conservation Park to photograph some mushrooms. Took a 'short cut ' through some a friends bush block but it was very thick and I think the extra approx 2 km via the road route would've been faster. Ran up and down the drive to get the run to 20 km!
