Ballast pit loop. Ankle seems to cope with a gentle pace, just not good with push off up hills. Bush is looking fresh and lovely after the rain and I am enjoying the native heath in flower.
Lunch time swim 25 m pool. Had flippers on for 500m to work my legs harder. My arms are not strong enough to get my heart rate up. Ave HR was 85. Heel very sore today after running last night. Now looking forward to trying a new running Physio on Monday evening who has been highly recommended by several people.
Loop east over railway line and down QJD. Ankle and calf sore at the start but better once I was warmed up. Both felt weak though especially up hills. It’s tricky adjusting to running in the dark again but it was good to get out. Nice to get sweaty too.
Run down to Hawthorndene to get Roo. My muscles were sore from Monday nights run. Felt very slow, sore and generally decrepit. Nice to get some fresh air at least.
Harriers intervals. 2 x 100m, 6 x 800 m, 3 minute rests. On the grassy 400 m track which was kind on the body. After a rainy day there was most coming off the oval which was quite picturesque. Felt ok, got a bit slower as this went on, my ankle was ok but my calf was very sore. Must remember to ask about this when I see a new (and highly recommended ) Physio next week.
orienteering (Cycling) 1:38:00 [3] 25.0 km (3:55 / km)
Did the MTBO event course 1 using map run which worked ok for me but some had trouble. This was quite fun the course went all over Victor. My technique on the curving single track has room for improvement! I didn’t find the right finish spot for 5 minutes ( it was not at the finish sign but was mapped correctly i had looked carefully.)
