Cycling (Fun Ride) 5:08:54 [3] 80.59 mi (15.7 mph) +4824ft
ahr:124 max:170 slept:8.0 weight:184lbs shoes: North Wave Tri Shoes

Fun Ride
Route: Fremont-Locks-lower magnolia to myrtle edwards - fontleroy - vashon - maury - fremont
Physical: Still felt a little tired from Thursday, but not bad. Did a lot of start/stop with the group, and I have a hard time feeling strong with that. Overall, felt good and happy with the body today.
Mental: Enjoyed just hanging out, not pushing, not training, just riding. Still very excited to ride. I wish it were May and we had all summer ahead of us. Time to move south of the equator.

Cycling (Z3/Z4 fun ride) 2:05:10 [5] 39.92 mi (19.1 mph) +1723ft
ahr:148 max:170 slept:6.0 weight:183lbs shoes: North Wave Tri Shoes

Plan: Z3/Z4 Just get out and ride for fun
Average speed: 19.1
Route: Mercer Island normal route CW and CCW
Physical: Felt very strong on entire ride.
Mental: We got a late start and CD had a hard stop for flag football game. So, I bailed in arboretum and rode alone. I interpreted the "fun" ride to mean I could go as hard as I wanted, so I went as hard as I could and rode this as a TT trying to get above a 20mph average. Didn't quite make it, but I really enjoyed the ride. I'm trying to get a good handle on what the legs feel and what it means towards the end of a hard ride. For sure, they burn, but they felt buttery tonight. Can't explain it any other way and thought about it for about 30 minutes at the end of the ride. Very nice feeling afterwards. Will potentially be a bit drained for Saturday's ride, but I'm looking forward to seeing how the legs respond with this effort and one day rest before riding vashon saturday.

Note
slept:6.0 weight:184lbs (rest day)

Was not inteded to be a rest day but I got hung up at work until 2am again. A little frustrating for sure. It's a slippery slope to start skipping workouts and I am worried work load is ramping up too much. Will have to fix that asap.
