Needed a me-day in the woods after a nutty week. Trail Centre to Slide Lake loop, Gibson, back via interior. Did a lot of hiking to recover from Slide section, and then again near the end. Didn't matter, just wanted to get a long day on the feet in lieu of a spring race. Hot day, had to fill up bladder at Testmine usual spot, glad I brought tablets. 7 gels, 2 packs of bloks, Elevate Me bar for lunch on Mink Lake lookout. Probably started too fast, felt so good for the first couple of hours. Never got breathing back very well after that. Lots of people out today.
