classic ski (Albion Hills) 1:10:00 [3] 10.0 km (7:00 / km)

Kind of a damp dreary morning but there seemed to be a bit of an undercrust with some softer snow on top. I didn't want to drive far so I tried Albion Hills and it was just lovely. Not because they groomed - it's rarely lovely if they groom because they're terrible. It was because they hadn't and there was a nice hard ice base with a good snow layer on top. I skied the wide trails up in the northeast section. The parking lot was closed off and there were very few signs of use. It hadn't been rolled. There was only one set of bike tire tracks, and a few footprints. I had an excellent ski, did about 2 loops of the system and it was easy skiing.

skate ski (Albion Hills) 1:20:00 [3] 14.0 km (5:43 / km)

Traded in my classic skis for skate and did the northeast loop again, then crossed over and just cruised wherever I wanted on the west side. Unfortunately a park worker had driven on many of the trails with a Gator and kind of ruined my crust but in some places it was a blank slate and sweet skating:)

skate ski (school field) 1:00:00 [3]

We were able to just crust cruise all over the school fields - it was awesome. WE did some intervals on the track actually without poles since it's a brand new rubberized track. It was very even! Fun.
