Note

Stayed home sick today., hoping to sleep. What was I thinking?! This corner is a majpr construction zone with 5-6 backhoes going back and forth all day, cement saws, jackhammers, dump trucks . So thre was no chance fo sleeping. Did get in for a nice massage with Rita :)
Walked a bit on the trail.

Note

Throat was on fire today. Hoofed it to school and back but kept myself pretty quiet otherwise in the hopes of not getting too sick. It was hard to not yell at the ROPSSAA championship game. But my boys still played great and won the trophy :)

8 AM

cycling (road) 50:00 [3] 21.0 km (2:23 / km)

Wow. Unbelievably Septembery weather in November! It was another golden day. Chilly morning but it had to be about 14-15 degrees in brilliant windless sunshine this afternoon.
Rode pretty hard this morning, some 1km intervals hard/easy with hills, plus my commute.
10 AM

circuit (classes) 45:00 [3]

circuit x 3 classes
2 PM

hiking (class) 30:00 [2] 3.0 km (10:00 / km)

short hike with my girls since we lost our gym space - bummer that we had to go walking through Bolton Camp on a sparkling sunny fall afternoon :)

pole run (Mono) 1:30:00 [3] 12.0 km (7:30 / km)

Spectacular day! Never mind for Nov.15 - it was just a gorgeous day period. I did some volunteering at Mono Nordic's open house and ski swap, bought some stuff for school too, then headed out on the Mono trails for a beautiful trail run with poles. It could not have been a more pleasant day on nicer trails. I skate bounded up the steep pitches and classic bounded on the more gradual climbs. Felt great.

10 AM

trail Run (pole run) 15:00 [3] 2.5 km (6:00 / km)

Warm up run with poles around what used to be a "lake" at Albion Hills. They've opened the little dam and are draining the pond so the creek will be just a creek again. Now there are big mud flats where the water used to be but you can see the natural flow.

roller ski (skate) 45:00 [3] 10.0 km (4:30 / km)

Steady skate ski on the new pavement near the pond and up to the outdoor ed. centres. So nice to be on smooth pavement, and no cars :)
Kind of a raw, blustery day. Much cooler than it was all week - fall is finally here. I like it.
