core strength.flexibiity (track practice) 20:00 [3]

Did an obstacle course then strength/stability with some track kids. Fun. Discovered today that while I can still do the agility movements I can no longer do a front somersault without serious, staggering dizziness. Old age :(

road run (lunch time) 25:00 [3] 3.5 mi (7:09 / mi)

Short window on my lunch. Loop around school, down Humberlea, along the river, back up ravine trail. Not too mucky but squishy in spots - and it snowed. Didn't stick, but it was definitely snowing.

road run 35:00 [3] 4.5 km (7:47 / km)

Slushy snow-cone snow morning, then just slush, then just wet. Ran the road near school at lunch, anything off-road was like a sponge or quagmire. It felt relatively warm compared to the weekend.

tabata 10:00 [3]

Short Tabata on small hill, 10 x:
10 sec. sprint, 10 sec. mt.climber, or burpees, push ups, etc.

core strength.flexibiity 15:00 [3]

BOSU ball 1-foot :
- twists, squats, tea pots x 10 each foot
- abs
- stretching

Note

Cycled to Bolton Camp to work on an orienteering course, and it was horrible on the TRCA bulldozed trail into the camp. I thought it would be frozen still. Nope - pure clay muck. My bike has the stuff dried onto it like cement.
It was chilly, then it got colder - an icy wind came up. Bringing the next round of snow-rain I guess.

skate ski (Highlands) 2:35:00 [3] 32.0 km (4:51 / km)

When December finally comes in April, might as well enjoy it and go skiing. Sorry Bent, it was great skiing at Highlands today. A bit of muck crossing the creek near the bottom of the S climb, and soft in a few of the lower spots, but up top it was mid-winter conditions. The beautiful snow combined with April sun and clear blue skies made for a pretty awesome day. The north wind was bitter though and kept the -5 high feeling much colder - but only if you were in the wind. Out of the wind it was glorious spring skiing. A bonus day.

circuit (classes) 30:00 [3]

circuit x 2 classes

cycling (commute) 30:00 [3] 10.0 km (3:00 / km)

Very brisk today, -8, this morning riding the neighbourhood near the school. Bit nicer this afternoon but still a chilly wind at 2 degrees, at least the sun was shining.
1 PM

trail Run (Bolton Camp) 35:00 [3] 4.5 km (7:47 / km)

Nice lunchtime run in Bolton Camp. Bit squishy and mucky in spots but out of the wind and peaceful :)
