trail Run (Bolton Camp) 45:00 [3] 6.0 km (7:30 / km)

Sure, today was clear & sunny. Had a very nice run on Bolton Camp trails at lunch, did several big hills.

canoeing (Palgrave Pond) 45:00 [3]

Goose and I got out tonight for very pleasant and peaceful paddle on Palgrave Pond. Heron, mallards, gulls, , redwing blackbirds - so nice. Each of us soloed a canvas- cedar canoe. Very pretty picture :)

Note

At a track meet all day - have to admit the weather was not nice today. Very, very bitterly cold, wet, drizzly, windy. I was dressed for it but most of my team was not and they knew they should have been since we have nagged over and over about being prepared. Still - some good performances.

canoeing (Island Lake) 1:10:00 [3] 6.0 km (11:40 / km)

Goose bought a new canoe today (his birthday) - new to us, but in ridiculously good shape. Like a showroom canoe. Nice honey-coloured cedar ribs, cherry gunnels, bright red glossy canvas. Not a scratch. So of course we had to go try it. Nice solo boat and there was no wind today. It was sweet! He paddled the big yellow ABS pig with Tman while I got to heel over and glide in the light new 15ft. cedar-canvas. He had a turn too.
Love it.

cycling (road/trail) 1:30:00 [3] 27.0 km (3:20 / km)

Clear skies but a cool 10 degrees or so with a brisk north wind today. Goose spent the day paddling in Minesing Swamp so I didn't get out on my bike till late this afternoon. Rode north to Albion on paved roads, road double and single track in Albion and it was beautiful! A few mucky spots but really awesome in the short bit I did on the west side. Wished I'd been there all afternoon. The wild garlic is very happy and fragrant, there were some trout lilies out and pretty little pink Carolina spring beauties opened today. Spring has sprung. I was on my way to a Cabane a Sucre dinner party on Innis Lake Rd. so I came out of Albion on Patterson and rode up to Finnerty and across on dirt roads which were really nice too. Worked up an appetite for whole lot of food - drizzled with maple syrup:)

Run into Bolton Camp to finish setting and then collecting orienteering controls for a teacher PD activity. Muggy morning after last night's rain, warm and then it cleared with a brisk NW breeze. Nice day.

Hiked with one class on B.Camp trails, then with the very slow teachers.
