skate ski warm up/down (warm up/cooldown) 1:10:00 [3] 13.0 km (5:23 / km)

Pre-skied the course and then went on an exploratory ski afterward to cool down. Beautiful conditions, lovely woods. Hermes is going to have fun tomorrow:)

skate ski race (Suntrail Special) 26:00 [5] 7.0 km (3:43 / km)

Drove up to Hepworth on greasy roads with fresh fine wet snow. Bit sketchy as far as Shelburne so we considered turning back but it actually cleared up a bit and the roads weren't nearly as bad as we drove north - which rarely happens. Talked a woman I used to coach when she was in high school into going up with me to race. Her first one in about 20 years. Eve skied very well and I had someone to chase. It was fun. Conditions were great on the Sawmill trails. And it snowed all day. The initial results had me oddly placed according to the Flower girl. She advocated for me as I couldn't even read the results (I now need reading glasses, which of course I don't think to take to a ski race). The results guy asks "What category?" Seriously? Do I look like a junior girl? Or even a junior woman? As it turned out he had me in the system as a 10yr-old! Great day and way better driving on the way home.

classic ski (Mono nordic) 40:00 [3] 5.0 km (8:00 / km)

Got a small window this morning so I got over to Mono. Fresh snow, groomed a bit sticky in some spots but pretty sweet really. Had a nice steady 40min ski around the classic loop. Then went and switched skis.
12 PM

skate ski (mono nordic) 50:00 [3] 11.0 km (4:33 / km)

Nice smooth skate - a few uphill sprints, easy gliding on the open stretches. I love skiing.

skate ski (coaching) 3:00:00 [3]

Such a great day. Sun for the first time in a while. Cold, crisp, clear skies. The layer of ice north of 89 was covered with a bit of new snow but it was still sparkly. Duntroon had a good dump yesterday on top of the sheet of ice. Chanse worked hard to break up the ice and till in the new snow so the race course was beautifully groomed for Goose's Mayfield Invitational. Unfortunately he couldn't go - not allowed to be in big crowds with lots going on. The race went very well. My girls rocked :) It was fun

swim 1:00:00 [4] 2.25 km (26:40 / km)

Sketchy walk to work even in Spike Cross. Sidewalks were rinks. Not much better going home. No school buses again today. Got a lot done on the equipment rooms. Took a break at lunch to swim.

Managed a wee hike in Bolton camp before work, before the ice hit. Crazy fast freezing rain.

skate ski (school practice) 50:00 [2]

Found a patch of actual snow on top of hard bumpy ice out on the school field. Gotta make do with what we have. It was nice out and the kids did a decent practice on rock skis. Lots of legs only tag, gliding games, starts, sprints, relay exchanges and then a short cool down ski. All flat.

core strength.flexibiity (class) 20:00 [3]

short circuit with jogging, stretching, planks etc.
