trail Run (HV trail) 40:00 [3] 4.5 km (8:53 / km)

Old lady trail "run", jogged the flats, shuffled down the hills and ski bounded the uphills. Pretty fall day, some cloud then bright sunshine, plenty of wind sending the leaves flying everywhere.
3 PM

roller ski 20:00 [3]

After I ran I skied in the 20 min window I had before Tman came home, mostly double poling.

swim intervals 35:00 [4] 1.6 km (21:52 / km)

Drove to London early to try to avoid heavy 401 traffic - not possible. It was awful - horrible dark rainy conditions and a kajillion transports throwing up spray. It feels like you are driving alongside railway cars because that's pretty much what they are and there are so many in a row. After Tuesday's horror on the 400 I was a bit scared. But I arrived a bit too early and didn't want to wake up my parents so I went for a swim first.

roller ski 40:00 [3] 7.0 km (5:43 / km)

Steady skate on the newly paved neighbourhood streets with Goose. Change is in the air. It was grey and cool and apparently areas north of hear got some snow overnight!
4 PM

cycling (road) 45:00 [3] 15.0 km (3:00 / km)

Cool and just a wee bit of drizzle as I was heading back. Got to get acclimatized for the fall 50 this weekend when it's supposed to be rainy and cool.

trail Run (short, flat) 30:00 [3]

Short runs are all I can do now. Ortho. surgeon can clean up cartilage but can't replace it so he says to strengthen the quads and don't do full squats. He also said to keep xc skiing :).
Ran around the park and did a circuit

canoeing (Humber) 4:00:09 [3] 12.0 km (20:01 / km)

Goose and I decided on the spur of the moment to paddle today. Retirees can do that :). We did a reconnaissance trip from Castlederg downriver to our house. There was A LOOOOT of in-and-outing. We took a saw and lopping shears to open up some tangled spots (when I say "we", it was really Goose who wielded the sharp implements) but we had to get out and drag the canoe (again, we= Goose) around log jams many, many times. It was fun though. The weather was supposed to get rainy but never did. We were out of the wind and it was lovely. Saw several deer, herons, ducks and Kingfishers. And now we know that we will not do the section from Castlederg to Duffy's for the Fall 50.

roller ski (steady skate ski) 1:00:00 [3] 12.0 km (5:00 / km)

Skated on newly paved rolling estate subdivision roads. Sweet :). No cars, no wind, no rain, no bumps, just smooth empty skiing with several steady gradual climbs.
20 min. steady ski
10 min. legs only
5 min. dbl pole
25 min. one, 2 skate etc.
