cycling (paved trail) 3:45:00 [3] 61.0 km (3:41 / km)

Felt like the seasons have finally really changed! Goose and I were going to pedal from the Claireville Dam down to Lake Ontario along the Humber but yesterday's wild winds caused damage on the road to the Indian Line Campground and the road was closed so we started from Humber College. Gorgeous day but still quite windy. The trail was relatively quiet at the north end with lots of trout lilies and colt's foot, bloodroot and of course dandelions blooming everywhere. Also, lots of trees were down after the storm. Some cracked and others uprooted., which meant several small detours and climbs over big trunks. As we got nearer to TO the trail got more crowded with people out enjoying the great weather. The lakeshore trail was packed but everyone was polite and happy to share the space.

swim 35:00 [3] 1.6 km (21:52 / km)

Squeaked in a short swim before an all-day track meet, in the rain, fog, sun and then wild wind, thunder etc. Crazy weather.

cycling (road) 1:35:00 [3] 35.0 km (2:43 / km)

Super summery today! Hot, humid, a fees showers, smelled awesome.
Got a good road ride in this morning up Duffy's to Castlederg, to Humber Station up to the rail trail, across through Palgrave to Mt. Hope and back down. A pretty stiff west-northwestish wind though made it slow out but fast back:)

Holy instant summer!! Hot and windy. Goose and I rode the touring bikes up Duffy's to Old Church, up the big climb to Mt. Wolf and back through the Humberview area subdivisions.

canoeing (Humber) 1:45:00 [3]

Lovely day. Goose and I decided to do a little paddle from the Duffy's Lane bridge down to our house. The river was moving well but not too high. We spent the first hour stopping very frequently to pick up plastic. Lots of plastic. Lots and lots of plastic water bottles. Lots. Plus some pop bottles, cups, big jugs, more plastic water bottles. And then we had to give up for the 2nd half of the section. We ran out of time, and space in our canoe. So sad. But on the bright side we lots and lots of deer too. Maybe the same ones over and over? Bounding through the river and up the big banks, tails high.

hiking (Bruce Trail) 1:20:00 [3] 8.0 km (10:00 / km)

The Millers and the Dough Boy left in the dark to get to the GRR in Niagara -on-Lake but I didn't have to:)
It was a beautiful bright morning - but quite windy and cold. I've always wanted to stop at Walter's Falls so on my way home I decided that's where Id go for a hike. It's not really on the way home but I was in no hurry. Walter's Falls is a pretty spot and is actually a town. I started running but again should have worn spike cross on the Bruce. There were lots of very icy spots and mucky spots. I ran where it was more open and dry an walked where it was treacherous. It was very scenic.

cycling (road) 30:00 [3] 11.0 km (2:44 / km)

Warmed up to 9 but there was still a nippy north wind. I followed the new "Bike Route" signs and arrows in town. ?? Not sure who designed it but it's a joke. Someone probably got paid for it too. The town just posted arrows and signs along the main subdivision road in a big loop?? There's no designated lane or path. Ridiculous.
