cycling (road/rail trail) 2:00:00 [3] 38.0 km (3:09 / km)

Headed out on a beautiful bright morning under rain-washed skies from the earlier downpour. It was so nice out. Road up to the rail trail and then decided to make it a destination ride to 4Corners in Cal.East. Met up with R. Reid, Mrs. Huet and Goose for a latte:). and rode home again. Lovely. Ribs don't hurt on the bike.

cycling (road) 1:00:00 [3] 20.0 km (3:00 / km)

Another hot day. Went out after dinner to try a ride with Goose and promptly broke the chain on my touring bike :(. Went back and got my mt. bike and rode just until dark. Relatively cool :)

Note

Family reunion camping in Algonquin . Thurs. night was hell trying to sleep on a thermarest with broken ribs. Slept in the car sitting up last night but woke up with my whole chest completely frozen trying to guard the ribs. Agony. Goose took me to the Huntsville emerg. They determined that it was the muscles in spasm protecting the broken ribs and gave me a sling and Naproxen. Wow, was it ever painful So I spent the day resting the arm in the sling, staying away from Tman, doing passive moving in the water (can't swim anyway), sitting in the canoe while Goose paddled both Tman and me, and an hour rolling a lacrosse ball over my upper back.

cycling (road/rail trail) 3:00:00 [3] 60.0 km (3:00 / km)

Yet another very hot sunny day, over 30. But the morning was relatively cool. Mrs. Huet and I rode the rail trail to Cheltenham, had a drink then rode back to her house for a nice dip in the pool - before I rode home. It was so nice on the rail trail in the shade. Gotta love trees!
