trail Run (Pinery) 50:00 [3] 6.5 km (7:42 / km)
Still, clear and already getting hot when I headed out to run. Intended on an easy, flat jog up the beach but the nipper flies were out. Ideal conditions for them. They were ruthless and relentless on the beach in the sun and I found myself running faster than I'd planned and heading back into the Pinery. They don't like shade and it was nice and shady on the campground roads so I ran several of the campsite loops. Man it was hot - just bearable in the shade. I was dreading going back to the flies and heat on the beach but it made me run harder to get back, swatting the damned nippers with my hat as I tried to outrun them.
